Here are five reasons to choose our string quartet to perform for your wedding ceremony.

Our distinguished musicians possess a wealth of national and international music competition achievements

We take pride in being the string quartet with the highest number of 5-star Google reviews in the country.

As government-certified musicians and recording artists, we are acclaimed and relied upon.

Over the last ten years, our musicians have performed for more than 1,000 wedding ceremonies and receptions. Additionally, we perform with Australia’s premier symphony and chamber orchestras.

We find immense joy in performing, and we are genuinely appreciative of the opportunity to make music our livelihood. This gratitude shines through in our performance style. We go beyond simply playing the notes; we craft a truly immersive and passionate musical experience.

Our devotion to our art is consistently apparent, earning praise from attendees at every event in which we participate. The zeal and delight we experience while performing help to create a positive atmosphere at your event, ensuring a captivating and unforgettable occasion for all your guests.

With a wealth of experience performing at hundreds of prestigious wedding venues across Australia, we have gained a comprehensive understanding of various venue layouts and their unique acoustics.

Our extensive collection features over 3,000 songs, covering a wide array of genres, including modern popular hits from the 1950s to the present, as well as enduring masterpieces from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras.

We can also perform tangos, hymns, folk songs, jazz pieces, and Christmas carols.

With our limitless musical assortment, we accommodate all tastes and occasions!

Should your favourite melody not be included in our repertoire, we will gladly arrange it and two other songs of your choosing at no additional cost, making certain your treasured tunes are performed during your walk down the aisle, the signing of the register and your exit.

Here are a few examples to listen to:

Bittersweet Symphony & Canon – The Verve

Hallelujah – Leonard Cohen

All You Need is Love – Lennon McCartney

For additional song arrangements, we charge a fee of $200 + GST per song

We understand the importance of flawlessly executing your wedding day, and our duty extends beyond delivering exceptional live music. We also ensure a hassle-free experience from our end, allowing you to enjoy the day to the fullest!

When you contact us, you will be working directly with Jennen, our dedicated point of contact. This ensures clear communication, without any confusion that could arise from dealing with multiple musicians or non-musicians.

Jennen is available seven days a week and typically responds to emails and missed calls within 24 hours, giving you the prompt attention you deserve.

With over 5,000 performances to his name, including more than 300 wedding ceremony performances, Jennen is an award-winning violinist who will ensure everything runs seamlessly and according to plan on your wedding day.

He is committed to answering all your queries and providing support to give you confidence in engaging Australia’s top-notch musicians.

Please note that while Jennen offers unlimited assistance via email and phone, in-person consultations are billed at an hourly rate of $200 + GST.

If, for any reason, your wedding is cancelled or postponed, we will offer a full credit that remains valid for two years from the cancellation date, provided that we receive a minimum of 30 days’ notice.

Furthermore, if there are government-imposed restrictions that prevent your event from proceeding, and it is beyond your control, we will provide a full credit if you inform us a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

We also maintain extensive public liability insurance coverage of up to AUD 20 million, guaranteeing protection throughout Australia.

For the ultimate musical experience on your wedding day, we recommend hiring a string quartet. With two violins, a viola, and a cello, a string quartet allows for full harmonies and greater volume, resulting in an unforgettable performance of unlimited repertoire.

However, we also offer options for those with tighter budgets, including string trio, string duo, and solo performances. A string trio comprises two violins and a cello, while a string duo consists of a violin and a cello. Solo options include a violinist, cellist or pianist. Please note that if you choose to hire a pianist, the venue must provide a tuned piano.

If modern pop songs are on your playlist, we recommend hiring a string quartet to ensure the songs are recognisable. If classical music is your preference, a string trio will suffice. A string duo is suitable for limited classical music only, and a solo violinist or cellist will only be able to perform melody lines.

Hire our string quartet, as it’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies, providing ample acoustic volume.

We will perform during these times:

  • As guests arrive (15 minutes before your ceremony commences)
  • Processional: Bridal party entrance (1 or 2 songs)
  • Signing of the Register (1 or 2 songs)
  • Recessional: Bridal party exit (1 song)
  • As guests exit and during photos, canapes and drinks (depending on booking duration)

To ensure a seamless performance, we recommend hiring our string quartet at least 15 minutes before the ceremony’s scheduled start time. We will arrive 15-20 minutes earlier to set up and begin performing at the start of your booking time. During the pre-ceremony, we will play a mix of lively classical and modern pop songs to set the ambiance and keep guests entertained as they arrive and mingle.

As the bride prepares to walk down the aisle, we will fade out the pre-ceremony music and start performing the processional song at the celebrant’s cue for all guests to stand. Most couples prefer one song for the entire processional, providing the most seamless entry.

The processional song will be looped as needed and faded out once the bride is in position, removing any need for the bride to hurry in case the processional takes longer than anticipated.

We can also perform a separate entry song for the flower girls and bridesmaids, with a brief pause before the bride’s processional song.

During the signing of the register, which usually takes 5-10 minutes, we will perform two songs of your choice.

We will then perform the recessional song as the couple is announced as wedded.

We can continue performing during the post-ceremony, photo sessions, and canapes, depending on the length of your booking.

We recommend booking our string quartet for 60-90 minutes, and if there’s a chance of a delay or extension, please extend your booking by 15 minutes to avoid any inconvenience.

If you’d like us to perform soft background music during speeches, vows, and celebrant’s speech, just let us know. We don’t charge extra for playing during other times of your ceremony.

For a Catholic Mass, we suggest booking us for at least 90 minutes before the scheduled start time, allowing extra time for delayed start and longer speeches. Our string quartet can perform at other times during the mass, such as Communion.

Please select four songs that will highlight your special day.

This includes:

  • One or two songs for your processional
  • One or two songs for the signing of the register
  • One song for your recessional.

To help you select your four featured songs, we have created a playlist of the most requested songs at wedding ceremonies

If you’re busy with other tasks, you can simply click on the top song in the playlist, and the tracks will play one after another.

When you hear a song you like, just take note of the track number and let us know which songs you’d love us to perform live at your wedding.

You can also listen to all of our 200+ recording samples here

Note that there are several playlists on each webpage, so once the tracks finish playing, you’ll need to click on the first track of the next playlist.

Before and after the ceremony, we will perform a selection of upbeat classical music and contemporary songs. If you have a preference of style of music you’d like us to perform while guests arrive and exit, please let us know.
