String Musicians Australia reads their music on iPads, allowing them to perform in dark and low-light settings. Performing on acoustic instruments eliminates the need for power, making the setup time efficient and keeping the performance area simple and safe.
Amplification for Larger Events:
For large wedding receptions, celebrations, and corporate events hosting more than 80 attendees, amplifying our string quartet ensures the best sound quality. Our state-of-the-art wireless amplification system guarantees optimal audio, creating a memorable musical experience for all.
Outdoor Performances:
While we’re happy to perform outdoors, our highly valuable instruments require protection from direct sunlight, rain, and wind. Suitable outdoor settings include verandas, balconies, decks with overhead covers, marquees, large shade umbrellas, or spacious trees providing ample shade without falling foliage risks.

For events with more than 80 guests or expansive outdoor coastal settings, amplification is recommended. If your Wollongong venue provides sound equipment, please arrange one microphone on a stand in front of each musician and allow an additional 30 minutes prior to the performance for a soundcheck.
Q10: Can you perform at outdoor venues across Wollongong?
Yes. We are happy to perform outdoors at Wollongong’s beautiful parks, gardens, and coastal venues, provided our instruments have full overhead cover from direct sunlight, rain, and wind. Suitable settings include verandas, marquees, large shade umbrellas, or generous trees providing ample shade without falling foliage risks. An indoor backup space must always be available in case of unexpected weather, and performing on or near sand is not feasible due to the risk of instrument damage.
Q11: What are the payment and cancellation terms?
A non-refundable $500 deposit secures your Wollongong booking, with the remaining balance due at least 30 days before your event. All prices on our website include GST and travel from the Sydney CBD, with no additional or hidden fees. Should you need to cancel, a full credit valid for two years is issued with at least 30 days’ notice, and if government-imposed restrictions render your event unviable, a full credit is extended with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
