A Night of Music, Dancing, and Giving Back

Hosted by String Musicians Australia

Sunday Night Charity Event Wrap-Up

Last Sunday night, we transformed the String Musicians Australia studio at 10/3 Engineering Drive, North Boambee Valley into a vibrant space of generosity, music, and fun — all in support of a cause close to our hearts: raising money for the homeless in Coffs Harbour.

While we know $500 isn’t a huge amount, it’s a heartfelt first step. Every cent counts — and we’re proud to have planted the seed for future charity events that will only grow in size, impact and community spirit.

A Massive Thank You to Our Talented DJs

We were thrilled to have two amazing local DJs who donated their time and talent for the night: DJ Coco Varma and DJ Jemka. Alternating every 30 minutes, they brought completely different but equally infectious energy, keeping the dancefloor alive and buzzing all night long.

Delicious Food, Generously Donated

A big shoutout to the amazing local businesses and individuals who donated food and goodies:

  • Trent Schwartz from North Coast Chicken Supplies brought the poultry power.
  • Pete and Penny from Elite1 Paintball, Coffs Harbour spoiled us with homemade meat and vegetarian samosas, cupcakes, and juicy homegrown mandarins.

Guests brought their own drinks, and we created a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere with a firepit out front where everyone could roast marshmallows under the stars.

Jennen’s Speech & Prizes With a Twist

At around 8 PM, Jennen shared a heartfelt speech on why supporting those experiencing homelessness in our community matters — a timely reminder of how even small actions can lead to big change.

Then the games began! Instead of a standard raffle, we mixed things up. Guests had to win their prizes — through math and geography questions, ring toss, hula hooping, and more. It was fun, engaging, and full of laughter.

More Than Just a Fundraiser

Beyond the dancing and delicious food, the night featured:

  • Billiards
  • Chess
  • Pole dancing & Lyra hooping
  • Armwrestling
  • Karaoke

…and lots of laughter.

With 30 guests, a $20 entry fee, and after covering the cost of our photographer and food, we raised $120 on the night. String Musicians Australia topped it up with an additional $380 to bring the total to $500.

What’s Next?

We’re already planning our next charity night — this time on a Friday or Saturday, with pre-sold $30 tickets and aiming for at least 50 guests.

We believe music and community can bring about real change. Thank you to everyone who came, danced, donated, played, or simply showed up. Let’s keep building this momentum and continue giving back — together.

Till next time!
