A former pupil of John Harding and Alice Waten, Jennen Ngiau-Keng studied at the Australian National Academy of Music from 2002 to 2005. In 2008, he graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Masters Degree in Music Performance under the guidance of Jun Yi Ma. He performs on a Graham Caldersmith violin & Matthew Coltman bow, both of which were awarded to him. He has performed over fifty concertos as soloist with orchestras in Australia and abroad and has won competitions including the Kendall National Violin Competition, Gisborne International Music Competition and the Geelong Advertiser Music Competition.
Since leading the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2007, Jennen has led the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Vic Opera Orchestra. He has acted as a principal player with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria, Orchestra Seventeen88 and has toured with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and lectured at The University of Melbourne and Monash University.
Jennen regularly performs with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.
